Anaheim, CA (via Europe) – In this week’s addition, we will jump across the pond and look at how our players are doing while the lockout continues deep into the winter.

We begin our Euro Trip in England. Matt Beleskey has made some noise on the ice this past week after a slow start. In his first game, the winger did not record a point in a 4-1 loss to the team from Belfast. Beleskey was called for a two minute cross-checking penalty in the second period of that game, but it was killed off. The next game, Nottingham shut down the entire team in an 8-0 drubbing at home. The 24 year old helped in a 4-1 win at Cardiff with two assists Wednesday. Earlier today the Windsor, Ontario native notched a goal and an assist in a losing effort to Cardiff 6-3.

Next stop is the Swedish Allsvenskan League to catch up with Viktor Fasth and Cam Fowler. Fasth has not played since October due to a hip injury, so his totals have not changed. Fowler on the other hand has increased his assist total to five giving him a total of 7 points. Fowler is +7 on the year.

In Switzerland, Luca Sbisa has had no change on his goals or assists, but has dropped to a -1 on the season.

Nick Bonino has been on a tear. in his last two games he has notched 3 goals and 4 assists. Bonino scored the equalizer in a December 21st tilt that sent the game into overtime. In the extra frame, the Uniontown, CT native got the primary assist on the game winner. The next game, Bonino had a hand in the last four of HC Neumarkt Egna Riwega’s five goals. He iced the game on a power play goal late in the game giving his team the 5-3 victory.
