Orlando Trip Full Of Firsts And Milestones For Komets
Fort Wayne, IN – Defenseman Ryan Hegarty scored his first Komet goal and point, left winger Garret Klotz and center Ryan Lasch each notched their first point, an assist, as a Komet Friday during the Komets first meeting of the season against the Solar Bears at Orlando. It was also the first time the Komets directed over 40 shots on net in a game this season and the first road shootout win since March 19, 2011 when the Komets clipped the IceMen at Evansville 1-0 while as members of the CHL. Left wing Luca Caputi scored his first two goals and points as a Komet Saturday that also including the game winner. Right winger Thomas Beauregard and left wing Stephon Thorne logged their first Komet assist of the season and Lasch scored his first goal as a Komet in Sunday’s 6-2 setback at Orlando.
Sunday at Orlando, Lasch posted his 100th regular season pro point via goal and right wing Brandon Marino scored his 200th regular season pro point by goal as well. Center Colin Chaulk now has 997 career points in 899 career games (regular season). Beauregard has skated 198 career games (regular season and playoffs).
