Teemu Selanne Returns for One More Year

facebooktwitterreddit

As anticipated by many Ducks fans (and rumored by Finnish media outlets), Teemu Selanne has decided to return to the Ducks franchise for (at least) one more year, the Ducks announced today. Selanne signed a $4.5 million contract for the 2012-13 season.

At 42 years of age, Selanne is still able to produce on the ice, and is currently the 12th all-time NHL scorer. He led the team in points last season (tallying 66), and is undoubtedly ready to continue to make huge impacts this coming season.

“I still feel I can play at a high level,” Selanne stated. “As I always say, this is my happy place and I can’t wait to get back on the ice in front of our great fans.”
