Every so often for the rest of the off-season, I will be going over a player in the Ducks system. This will help you get a better view of what our farm system has to offer.

Peter Holland(20) C:

Drafted 15th overall in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft, Holland is slowly making his way up the rankings to become a top player.

2007-2008:  In 62 games with the Guelph Storm (OHL), Holland registered eight goals and 15 assists for a total of 23 points. He also had 1 goal in 10 games during the post-season.

2008-09: By far his most impressive year of his career. He had a great season with Guelph, tallying  67 points (28 goals, 39 assists) in 68 games. He was then selected to play for the Western Conference All-Stars in the OHL All-Star Classic where he grabbed 2 assists. Holland appeared in the 2009 CHL Top Prospects Game and the U18 world championships.

2009-2010: He started out the season with injuries and was not unable to play until winter, where he finished with 30 goals, 50 assists and 9 powerplay goals in 59 games.

2010-2011: He split the season with the Geulph and the Syracuse Crunch (he only played 3 games with the Crunch).  He scored 37 goals, 51 assists in 67 games in the OHL and notched 3 goals, 3 assists in 6 games for the Crunch.

Holland is not afraid to crash the net and get those rough goals. He also has a solid forecheck and with a solid build, he can be a real threat in the NHL. Although he’s not quite ready for the NHL, he is definitely a player to look forward to in the future.
