Postseason Frenzy, Away!

The FanSided gods have instructed me to write from my gut, go with my feelings and just be myself.

Okay, here goes.

Okay, now that I’ve gotten that out of my system, here are my lame-o predictions.

I WANT the Kings to take it, but the odds are stacked against a team who has not been performing up to expectations of late.  It seems like everyone’s figured out how to score on Quick and overall confidence doesn’t look so good.  If games go into overtime, they’ll definitely be in trouble.  The 8-3 demolition derby – I think everyone will agree with me on this one – was a fluke.

The ‘Nucks have the Swedish Twins line and Luongo in net and a strong, head-up attitude going into post.

How the heck did the Sharks luck out on this matchup!

With the Avs current setbacks and the Sharks fired up from past poor post performances (enough alliteration for ya?), it’s gonna be a feeding frenzy.

But then again, gotta take a look at Nabokov’s numbers, so it could be an uphill battle after all.

The ‘Hawks are on a roll and I think they just want to get the Preds out of the way and move on.

Bet the Ducks are pissed off they let Brezgy go!

Another emotional set of games.  I so wanted to see the ‘Yotes go down this season, but I gotta admire the fact that them pesky puppies never gave up and just kept pounding away on everyone.

However, they are facing one of the most persistent, merciless and hated teams in the Universe.  This one is going to be a serious fight.  Like “Rollerball” style.  The team that wins is the team with one player left alive.  Hey Pavel, I’ll show you where you can stick your Lady Byng!

This one’s a bit of a no brainer, even if you are a Cindy Crosby and Geno hater.

For the most part, it seems to me the Habs have gotten this far mainly on the strength of their defense.  They’ve done a valiant job of holding the Caps off, but if they can’t get the puck in the net, they can’t win the game.  Oh, and there’s some big, partially toothless Russian that might give them some trouble.

The Sabres have been a thorn in the Bruins side this season, mainly because of Ryan Miller’s strong performances.  The big question is who the Bruins will go with, Rask or Thomas?

Couldn’t both teams please lose?

With Brody in net, it seems like a foregone conclusion, but it seems like the Flyers is one of the only teams he has struggled against.

These are gonna get ugly.  Excuse me sir, is this your nose?  Does anyone have a staple gun?  Mr. Pronger, would you be so kind as to extract your elbow from my brain?
