Apparently J.S. Giguere was speaking with sarcasm when he made remarks that he’d rather retire than play as a backup. Of course reporters were all over Giguere and Coach Randy Carlyle today after Giguere’s comments, and the Orange County Register got some quotes of him and Carlyle running damage control.
