Anaheim Ducks Soup: Stoner Buys a House and More Random News!

We scoured the Internet to find something, ANYTHING, that Anaheim Ducks fans would find interesting!

Summer time, summer time, sum-sum-summertime!

Great time of the year . . . unless you’re a hockey fan, and then it’s downright dull.   There’s just not much going down in the NHL right now, but we here at Pucks of a Feather try our damnedest to give you some summer reading material, so here are some stories around the world wide web that might hold your interest!

The folks over at Bleacher Report sure do know how to stir up some heated discussion.  Check out their latest conversation starter, “Hit or Miss for Every NHL Team’s Biggest Move So Far in the Offseason,” and then wonder if the writer was serious when he wrote than picking up Kevin Bieksa was Anaheim’s biggest move.  Since Bleacher Report does a great job blurring the line between blog and respectable journalism, I can never tell how much I’m supposed to buy into these lists that they crank out.  At any rate, check out the article for yourself.

I see Clayton Stoner is establishing some roots in Orange County, as he recently purchased a Newport Beach home for $2.025 million. The new pad has four bedrooms and three bathrooms, along with a 500 square-foot outdoor living room.  I tried adding something like that on to my house . . . then a central New York winter hit and . . . suffice it to say, I don’t have a 500 square-foot outdoor living room!

So for those of you who are hoping the Anaheim Ducks are looking to ship Stoner out of town, he appears to feel otherwise!

Finally, since we’re discussing Stoner, I leave you with a blast from the recent past: Stoner squaring off against Anaheim’s newest winger, Chris Stewart!  Ah, the memories!
