The Chicago Blackhawks have built themselves into a dynasty over the past seven years. The majority of their star players were acquired through the draft making the talent they posses on their roster seem even more impressive as their success can be attributed to a franchise that scouts and develops players well.

The Blackhawks have never faced the Ducks in the postseason and it is only fitting that the first ever matchup between the two teams would come in the western conference finals. A lot can be said of Chicago’s regular season dominance over the Ducks but most of those victories came against a depleted Ducks team. Looking at who played well for Chicago during those regular season match ups almost seems irrelevant at this point.

The stars have shined for both teams as Perry, Getzlaf, Toews and Kane are all in the top five of scoring during these playoffs. Each team presents match ups that will swing in their favor but there are most certainly a few players who will need to step up in order to get their team to the stanley cup finals.

Here are three players who will be vital to Chicago’s success in this series.
