Andy McDonald led the Anaheim Ducks with 10 playoff goals during the Stanley Cup run in 2007. During the Stanley Cup Final, McDonald tallied five goals.
McDonald spent seven years with the Ducks before moving on to play for the St. Louis Blues for six seasons. While in Anaheim McDonald scored 259 points, tallying 92 goals and contributing 167 assists. McDonald’s best season was during the 2005-2006 campaign when he scored 85 points (34 G, 51 A) in 82 games.
Despite being a major contributor on the Cup-winning squad, McDonald was traded the following season to the Blues for Doug Weight. McDonald would play in 294 games for the Blues, scoring 230 points (90 G, 140 A) during his time in St. Louis.
During his 13-year career, McDonald was a one-time All-Star and won the Faster Skater competition at 2007 All-Star Skills Competition.
He retired following the 2012-2013 season after dealing with concussions throughout his career.
