Strengths:
Sami Vatanen is a terrific skater: he has tremendous speed going east-west, but he moves explosively north-south as well. Vatanen is terrific with the puck on his stick: he’s very creative as a puck-handler and uses his great natural scoring instincts to create scoring chances. He also possesses good hockey sense and a very good, accurate shot, which helps him as a creator on the back end even more. He has all the skills necessary to be a good power play quarterback.
