Daniel Winnik Signs With Maple Leafs

Yesterday afternoon, the Toronto Maple Leafs announced they had signed forward Daniel Winnik to a one-year, $1.3 million contract.

Winnik, who spent the past two seasons with the Anaheim Ducks, posted a career-high in points (30) last season as he tallied six goals and added 24 assists.

In the lockout-shortened season with the Ducks, Winnik had 19 points (6 G, 13 A) in 48 games.

Winnik finishes his career in Anaheim with 49 points in 124 games.

The 29 year-old forward will join former Ducks Stephane Robidas, Joffrey Lupul, and Peter Holland in Toronto.
