Earlier this month assistant coach Bob Woods left the Anaheim organization to be the general manager and head coach of the Saskatoon Blades of the WHL.
This move leaves a big vacancy behind the bench for Anaheim. Brad Lauer and Scott Niedermayer are both set to return, but Ducks GM Bob Murray is still looking for someone to fill the spot left by Woods.
He mentioned in a Q&A earlier this week that he’d like to announce someone before the draft, so an announcement could be made soon.
