Good morning Ducks fans! After a tough loss last night the Ducks continue their road trip. Hopefully, the skid will stop and the team can get back to playing better hockey.

Despite the Ducks’ recent slump, captain Ryan Getzlaf remains in the conversations regarding the Hart Trophy. He is certainly the driving force behind the team and has made a huge difference on the ice, and in the dressing room.

One of the hottest Ducks recently is Andrew Cogliano. He has scored goals, finished his checks, and played an all around strong game for the Ducks; even through this rough patch. He began his career with the Edmonton Oilers, many fans weren’t sure what to expect. I’d say it was a great acquisition.

Something that spectators may notice about the Norfolk Admirals is their collection of seemingly undersized players. For a long time, the mindset has been that smaller players wouldn’t play well in the NHL because the larger players would over power them; thus making it harder to advance. Times have changed and smaller players are in the NHL making a huge difference. One player who is sure to make his mark is Kevin Gagne. He’s already having a standout season as an AHL rookie; look out NHL!
