As Team Canada wins gold in the men’s ice hockey tournament over Team Sweden, we get ready to move forward to the closing ceremony in Sochi, Russia.

The Anaheim Ducks players who were chosen to represent their countries are bringing hardware back from Sochi with them. At least one of every color will be represented inside the Honda Center. Each of the final four teams had at least one Duck on the roster and Teemu Selanne was named tournament Most Valuable Player.

The biggest story from the gold medal game seems to be about Niklas Backstrom and his “doping”. Let’s not get ahead of ourselves, it is NOT what you think. Also for Team Sweden is the fact the Oliver Ekman-Larsson spent so much time sitting on the bench. Maybe this is why that happened?

The final medal count came out like this.

The Opening Ceremony had a small glitch with the rings. That glitch is said to be fixed, we wait to see what happens. The closing ceremony can be seen on NBC tonight in the US during prime time viewing. The other story tonight is the inside look of the Nancy Kerrigan/Tanya Harding scandal 20 years later.
