Anaheim Ducks’ Daily: 2/4/14

It’s Morning again, Ducks’ family, though not the morning after we were hoping to have. It wasn’t the outcome we were hoping for, but the Ducks went out and played a good game. Sometimes you have to tip your hat to a goal tender who steals the game for his team, the way Sergei Bobrovskydid for the Blue Jackets last night.

In case you missed it, or if you want to relive the experience, you can catch up with the game recap. Maybe the Olympic break will be a good thing for the Ducks. It might help them learn to fly again. Maybe they need a Coach Bombay style kick in the rear?

The Ducks have officially placed Defenceman Mark Fistric on injured reserve as of yesterday; Monday 3 February, 2014. It looks like Sami Vatanen remains with the team. His return to Norfolk wasn’t long, but was necessary due to the situation. Vatanen had to be returned to avoid a waiver situation with anyone else on the team. Vatanen was a victim of circumstance; but as fate would have it, he has returned.

In a time when most people are pigeon-holed into making sure they are keeping up with their own lives, it’s nice to take a step back and look at what is around you. This article is a few weeks old but it says a lot about a young, prospect, defenseman in Norfolk who will, no doubt, crack the NHL lineup very soon. Keep your eye out for Jessie Blacker, he’s a great player and an even better person.

They are short and sweet, but they are your daily news links. Enjoy them with your breakfast and keep your chin up, there are still many games left in the season to get the Ducks back on track!
