The Anaheim Ducks announced earlier that Andrew Cogliano has received a four-year contract extension through the 2017-2018 season. Cogs has been incredibly important to the success of the team this season and is on pace for record highs in goals and points. He has been invaluable to this team with his great speed and great work ethic. Behind the twins, Cogs has to be one of the most important players for this team’s success the rest of the season and into the playoffs. He never gets hurt, he’s yet to miss a game in his NHL career (501 games), and he can play any forward position. I like this signing because you’re rewarding a guy who deserves every penny of it.
