First Period:

The Ducks dominate all facets of the game early and often. They out-shot the Vancouver Canucks by six but went 0-1 on the power play opportunity after Alexandre Burrows was called for hooking near the five minute mark of the first.

Second Period:

Anaheim finally got on the board and opened the scoring on Matt Beleskey‘s power play goal at the 6:44 mark. Brad Staubitz netted what would become the game winner 100 seconds later for his first of the season. The Ducks continued to pull away in the shot and hit totals.

Third Period:

The final frame saw the Vancouver nearly catch the Ducks in SOG’s and netted their only tally of the game with 3:18 left in the game on Jason Garrison‘s eighth of the year. Andrew Cogliano iced the game in the closing minute of the game.
