Dallas - The Anaheim Ducks dominated the Dallas Stars tonight. Viktor Fasth stood tall in net and did not allow a single goal in the 26 shots he faced. The Stars tried to make something happen late, but were stymied by an empty netter.
The opening frame saw the Ducks hold the puck for much of the period. They were unable to capitalize though. Fasth was able to stop all shots he faced.

The middle period saw the Ducks explode offensively. It did not start that way, however, as Teemu Selanne and Bryan Allen were both penalized. Despite out-shooting the Ducks, Dallas was unable to turn those shots into points. After Stephane Robidas was called for hooking, Bobby Ryan netted his 10th of the year on the power play at the 10:13 mark. Corey Perry scored next nearly three minutes later. Matt Beleskey rounded out the Duck attack with just under five minutes remaining in the frame.
The Ducks continued their strong effort in the third. The penalty kill was strong and Selanne’s empty netter sealed the game in the closing stages of the game.
