St. Louis – The Ducks faced the  St. Louis Blues and looking to rebound. The first period of play did not look promising. The Ducks penalty kill was still lacking as they gave up a power play goal by Alexander Steen at the 6:21 mark. Bobby Ryan netted the equalizer on his third goal of the season five minutes later. David Backes and David Perron gave and built up the Blues’ lead to end the first frame.

The next period Anaheim rallied as Teemu Selanne, Andrew Cogliano, and Ryan all scored within two minutes. Viktor Fasth recovered from a mediocre opening frame to stop all six shots the Blues sent his way.

The final regulation frame saw the Blues tie it up at the 3:21 mark on T.J. Oshie‘s fourth of the season. Saku Koivu put the Ducks ahead briefly until St. Louis’ Chris Stewart forced overtime with his fifth of the year.

The four-on-four play did little to resolve the game. The shootout went back and forth until Fasth ensured he stayed perfect in NHL play. Bonino ended the game by getting the puck just past Brian Elliott.
