Cincinnati, OH – The Komets are on the road again tonight facing the Cyclones. The K’s are looking to gain on the division leader and get two points in this crucial week as rosters across the league are in flux due to the end of the NHL lockout.
The Komets power play still seems to be the Achilles’ Heel this season. The overall special teams play for the team ranks next to last in the 23 team league going into tonight’s contest at a 13.8% conversion rate. The good news, if there is any, is that the K’s are slightly better on the man advantage with a 14.5% rating.
If the Komets can improve this area of team play, then a deep post-season is not unexpected.
