Evansville, IN – The Komets were playing decently until the third period when they let the game get away. Evansville (14-21-3) broke the scoreless tie at the 16:13 mark in the second.

The Komets (19-16-2) didn’t get a goal until after the IceMen scored their second of the night. Jean-Michel Rizk netted his 15th of the year for the Komets lone goal of the contest.

The K’s power play woes continued as they went 0-for-3 with the man advantage. Evansville’s power play goal at the 15:20 mark put the game away. Marco Cousineau gave up a fourth goal with just over three minutes left to wrap up the scoring.

With the NHL lockout all but over, the Komets made a few moves before key palyers get called up to Norfolk. Brayden Metz and Peter Cintala have been called up from Dayton of the Federal Hockey League and there have been reports that three players will be coming up from Pensacola of the Southern Professional Hockey League.

The Komets next game is Friday in Cincinnati to face the division leader at 7:35 PM EST. Audio is available through the Komets website.
