Komets Acquire Defensemen From Wheeling

Fort Wayne, IN – The Komets announced today that they have acquired second year defensemen Tim Priamo from the Wheeling Nailers. No compensation for the 24 year old defensemen has been released at this time. The Guelph, Ontario native made his debut last year and played 22 games in which he notched one goal and totaled four points. He also racked up six penalty minutes while with the Nailers last year.

He received the Ontario Hockey League’s Top Academic University Player (the Roger Neilson Award) for the 2008-09 season. The next year he was named to the CIS All-Rookie Team while attending Guelph University and was name 1st Team All-Star in his final year.

Priamo will be available to play tomorrow versus the Trenton Titans at home.
