Komets Win Back-to-Back with Shutout

For the first time since November 10th, the Komets have won 2 in a row. At that time it was a five game winning streak. Saturday night Fort Wayne (11-8-1) cruised to a 3-0 victory against the Solar Bears (9-11-4) at the Amway Center in Orlando.

Luca Caputi scored twice and Charlie Effinger was a perfect 35 for 35 in save opportunities in his first game since November 24th. Effinger was heavily tested early in the second period when he stopped multiple shots that led to a 2-on-1 breakaway as Caputi scored with an assist from Ryan Lasch 5:14 into the period.  Jean-Michel Rizk scored his eighth goal of the year from Matt Firman 9:30 in and Caputi scored his second of the game on a pass from Rizk at 11:47.

Each team went 0 for 5 on the PP and both accumulated 37 PIM.
