Just a small bit of news for you tonight, perhaps only of importance to those of you who followed our previous AHL affiliate much. Elite Hockey Prospects is reporting that free agent Mark Bell, who spent most of the last season with former Anaheim AHL affiliate Syracuse Crunch as part of the Ducks’ system, has signed to the Iserlohn Roosters of the German hockey league Deutsche Eishockey Liga (which translates to German Ice Hockey League, abbreviated as DEL).

Bell was only under contract with the Ducks for one season, and his season was spent almost entirely with the Syracuse Crunch. He played 39 regular season games with the Crunch and netted 7 goals with 10 assists to total 17 points. He also appeared in 4 playoff games for Syracuse, scoring 3 goals with one assist. Bell only played in 5 NHL games last season with the Ducks, in which he racked up 5 penalty minutes and totaled 0 points.

Bell became a Free Agent after his 2011-12 stint in Anaheim. Financial details of his new deal with the Iserlohn Roosters have not yet been made available.
