Admirals Announce Preseason Tilt Against Charlotte

The Norfolk Admirals have announced a preseason contest on Saturday October 6th against rival Charlotte Checkers. The puck is slated to drop at 7:15. Tickets for this contest will go on sale this Monday, September 10th. The ticket price is $10 and can be bought at any Ticketmaster location. Norfolk Admirals season ticket holders can purchase tickets for $5 through the Admirals’ office.
The Admirals wage battle against the Checkers 8 times over the 2012-2013 schedule. Last season the Admirals and the Checkers played for the Geico Cup. Along with amassing the Calder Cup and numerous awards for their historic run last year, the Admirals won the 1st ever Geico Cup against the Checkers. The two teams will battle for the Geico Cup once again this season over the 8 game series laid out over the course of the 2012-2013 season.
This tilt also marks the 1st time Admirals fans get to see their team in action. However fans should expect the preseason roster to change over the course of the Admirals training camp with numerous players getting cut or sent down to the ECHL affiliate, the Fort Wayne Komets.
