AHL Releases 2012-2013 Norfolk Admirals Schedule

On Friday The American Hockey Leauge relased the 2012-2013 schedule for
The Norfolk Admirals along with the other 29 teams in the American Hockey
leauge. A majority of the teams will start their quest to the Calder Cup
the weekend of October 12th.
The Norfolk Admirals the AHL affilate of the Anaheim Ducks start their
season at home facing off against the The Worcester Sharks on Friday October 12
and the 13th of October. The Admirals will only leave the comforts of home once
during the month of October when they make the lengthy trip North to “The Rock”
 the Island Newfoundland,Canada to take on the St.Johns Ice Caps.
In November the “Baby Ducks” play 6 games in Norfolk and 6 tilts on the road.
2 of home games in November will be played on Wedensday against rivals The Hershey
Bears and the Charlotte Checkers.
In December The Admirals play only 4 games at Scope.
The Admirals do play one home game against the Herhsey Bears in the Verizon Center
home of the Washinton Captails so that makes 5 home games in the month of December.
However they play 7 contests away from Norfolk.
Turing the Calander to Januray Norfolk will only play 4 away games during the month
with one of the stops being at PNC Bank Arena home of the Carolina Hurricanes to
battle with their AHL affilate the Charlotte Checkers. A total of 8 home games will be played
in the month of January.
During Febuary the home games are scarce with only having 4 out of the 11 games in the month being
at home. The Admirals battle with 2 divison rivals in 3 games in 3 days with 2 of the games being
at Scope against the WBS Pens and the other game slated to be in Herhsey the following day.
March will see the Admirals playing 8 games at home during the month and 6 games on the road.
During the month of March the Admirals will play a rare weekday 2 game series against the Phantoms of Adirondack on
Tuesday and Wedensday during mid March.
The Admirals will play their last 3 home games during the 1st week of April against Eastern confernce foes. The Admirals
will then hit the road to play their final 6 games of the  2012-2013 regular season. The regular season will end on April
 21st against the Providence Bruins. Hopefully if things go well for Norfolk hockey will return to Scope after April 21st.
