If you’re not already familiar with the website Reddit, here’s some background: Reddit is a social news/content sharing website. Users can vote and comment on the stories, news, discussions, and other content that they like, as well as share their own content and start their own discussions.

There are different pages for particular interests, which often serve as their own individual online communities . These pages are referred to as reddits or subreddits, and there’s one for almost everything you can think of (hey, why not subscribe to the Anaheim Ducks subreddit?).

Over in r/hockey, the subreddit for hockey fans, the community is picking a team each day and members are giving their reasons as to why they think that the team of the day will win the cup in 2013, as well as the reasons they think the team won’t win the cup. The idea is to have each user participating provide their reasons for both scenarios. Here are some other Ducks fans’ opinions:

It wasn’t only Ducks fans giving their opinions, as you can see from some of the responses below. The team icons next to one’s user name indicates their team loyalty:

And the top community-voted answer?

What do you think? Do you agree with these answers? What are your own reasons the Ducks will and will not win the Cup this season? Chime in!
