On July 1st Anaheim added depth to their blue line by signing 2010 Stanley Cup winner, Jordan Hendry to a one-year contract.  The stipulations of the contract were not made public.

Hendry played his college hockey at the University of Alaska Fairbanks of the CCHA. The Nokomis, Saskatewan native played 112 games in a Nanook’s jersey where he amassed 36 points in 4 seasons spanning from 2002 until the 2006 season.  Following his college career, he signed a try out agreement with the Norfolk Admirals.  Jordan put up 5 points in 13 games while on this contract.

Hendry was awarded a contact for the following season. The 1984 born defenseman would ping pong back and forth from the Blackhawks and their AHL affiliate, the Rockford IceHogs until the 2008-2009 season.  Hendry played a total of 80 games between the 2009-2010 and the 2010-2011 season with the Blackhawks registering only 9 points. However with playing over 40 games and 1 game in the playoffs, Hendry’s name was engraved on the Stanley Cup.

Prior to signing with the Ducks, Hendry played a season in the Minnesota Wild organization where he played a full season with their AHL affiliate the Houston Aeros.
