Too Many Men on the Site Series: Beyond the ‘C’

facebooktwitterreddit

Fansided’s main hockey website, Too Many Men on the Site, is currently in the middle of a series that goes a little bit in depth of every NHL captain. They started this series in early July with an article on Calgary Flames captain Jarome Iginla. The article on Anaheim Ducks’ captain Ryan Getzlaf will be posted on Wednesday, August 8th. Every article of the series will feature a small piece from a writer from that team’s Fansided website. For example, here is the small paragraph I submitted for the article on Getzlaf:

"Getzy is certainly an interesting character. On the ice, he plays both sides of the ice and will pound the opposition.  Off the ice, he’s a guy who can certainly keep a team loose. Hockey locker rooms can be some of the funniest places in the world and Getzy is one of the best. We’ve all seen “Ryan vs. Ryan” parts one and deux during the NHL Awards Show.  That’s a pretty good indication of his style of comedy. He’s a huge guy, but is definitely not a guy to be afraid of. Except when you piss him off on the ice because he’s not afraid of the fisticuffs. Last season was a tough season for the Ducks, and especially for Captain Duck. It was definitely the worst season of his career, his lowest point total since his rookie season back in 2005-2006. It was also the first season of his career where he finished below zero in plus/minus. However, he has proven that he can be an elite scorer and I’m pretty confident that he can turn it around next season, in fact, I wouldn’t be surprised to see Getzy reach 90+ points for the second time in his career."

“Too Many Men on the Site” is a great site for any hockey fan and has many different types of posts currently up and new ones are posted very frequently. So visit the site sometime and keep an eye on Wednesday, August 8th, for the part on Ducks’ captain Ryan Getzlaf.
