Anaheim Ducks Fashion Show Is Huge Success

The Anaheim Ducks held a fashion show on March 22nd to help raise money for the Children s Hospital of Orange County. The money will be used to build a fitness center for the children.

They raised over $120,000 at the event, which brings the total over the past 3 years to $480,000.

Teemu Selanne, Ryan Getzlaf, George Parros, Jonas Hiller, Cam Fowler, Luca Sbisa, Francois Beauchemin and Lubomir Visnovsky walked down the catwalk with a a CHOC ambassador.

Co- Chair leader Catherine Marchant was pleased with the event:

"“We are overwhelmed with the support this event has drawn over the past five years,” said Marchant “Our sincere thanks to all donors and sponsors who have contributed to our projects that seek to enrich the time spent by both patients and families at CHOC Children’s.”"

Guests attending had live and silent auctions and were able to purchase tables for $2,500. It is a great cause and I am glad it raised so much money.

The mission of the Anaheim Ducks Foundation is to facilitate and support programs that produce positive change for children and families throughout Southern California by providing educational opportunities, broadening access to the sport of hockey and addressing the health and wellness needs of our community.

Through the Foundation, the Anaheim Ducks look to support exemplary Southern California nonprofit organizations and to help make a positive impact in the local community with programs such as Ducks S.C.O.R.E. (Scholastic Curriculum of Recreation & Education).
