Ducks Look to Spoil San Jose Sharks Playoff Hopes

facebooktwitterreddit

The Anaheim Ducks face their division rival San Jose Sharks tonight in a big game, for one team atleast.

What It Means:

Ducks: Basically nothing. Their playoff hopes are pretty much over being 12 points out of a playoff spot and only 9 games to go. The one thing they can do is spoil games for the rest of the teams. Tonight is big for San Jose and I would love to see the Ducks ruin it for them.

Sharks: Since the Dallas Stars took over the Pacific Division, San Jose finds themselves close to missing playoffs. They currently sit in 9th, just one point out of the 8th seed. If they win, they will jump back into division leader and they will be 3rd in the conference.

Game Breakdowns:

Last Ten: SJS- 4-3-3, ANA-3-6-1

Series: The Ducks have won 3 out of 4 in which all were 1 goal margins

Injuries: Tommy Wingels will miss his third straight game.

Top Players: Corey Perry and Teemu Selanne both have 2 goals against San Jose this season. Jamie McGinn has 2 goals against the Ducks so far.
