Recent Trades Around the NHL.

The past few days we have seen several trades go down, and I wanted to briefly touch up on them. The Anaheim Ducks haven’t been in anything and I don’t think they will anytime soon.

Trades:

Los Angeles Kings trade Jack Johnson(D) and a first round selection in 2012 or 2013 to the Columbus Blue Jackets for Jeff Carter(C) 

New York Rangers trade Wojtek Wolski (LW)  to the Florida Panthers for a third round selection and prospect Mike Vernance (D).

New Jersey Devils send Kurtis Foster (D), Nick Palmieri (RW), Stephane Veilleux (LW), and two draft picks to the Minnesota Wild for Marek Zidlicky (D).

Phoenix Coyotes send Curtis McElhinney (G) and two draft picks to the Columbus Blue Jackets for Antoine Vermette (C).

Extensions:

Edmonton Oilers extend Ales Hemsky to a two-year deal for $10 million

-Kings extend Willie Mitchell to a two-year deal for a reported $7 million
