The Anaheim Ducks have done it again by beating the Florida Panthers 2-0! The Ducks were led by Jonas Hiller, who made 31 saves to record his third shutout of the season and 14th of his career.

Tonight was full of new accomplishments. The Ducks are now above .500 with a record of 25-24-10, which is the first time since October 29th. They are also on a 9 game point streak and are FIVE POINTS OUT OF THE 8TH SEED!!!!

Teemu Selanne also continued to improve his NHL record by scoring goal #657 (his 20th of the season). That puts him above Brendan Shanahan on the all time goals list.

The results of tonight’s game were amazing, but the game itself was not the greatest. It was rather slow and uneventful. Selanne got the Ducks on board when he scored 12 minutes into the first period. George Parros and Krys Barch dropped gloves to bring a little momentum in the game.

The second period was much of the same. Towards the end, the Ducks were clearly tired. The long roadtrip is definitely getting to them. Fortunately, they played very smart defense and Hiller was phenomenal.

The third period was back and forth action yet again. It was pretty even for most of the period. The Ducks hit the crossbar probably 4 times this period. Niklas Hagman was able to seal the deal with his empty netter.
