Ducks Make Another Comeback to Beat Pittsburgh Penguins 2-1

The Anaheim Ducks have won back-to-back comeback games, beating the Pittsburgh Penguins 2-1 tonight. They beat the Minnesota Wild last night, in much similar fashion, coming back from a 1-0 deficit.

The Ducks are now 3-0-1 on their 8 game road trip. Their lone loss came in the shootout to the Detroit Red Wings.

The biggest event of the night was none other than the great Teemu Selanne, scoring his 656th career NHL goal. He is now tied 12th overall with Brendan Shanahan (AKA Shanaban).  It was also tonight’s game-winning goal.

Believe it or not, people actually BOOED Selanne. Who does that?!?!

The first period started out pretty slow. The Ducks defense was very sloppy and uncoordinated. They allowed Jordan Staal to skate right in and bury one to give the Pens the lead.

The second period started out the same as the first, but the Ducks finally got back to their usual routine. They started peppering Fleury with shots and got some great chances. Corey Perry came through sending a wrister to tie up the game with less than a minute remaining.

Interesting fact: After Game 57 of last season,#MVPerry had 28 goals before he exploded. He just scored his 28th in Game 57.

The third period was all Anaheim. Although it wasn’t a high in shots, the Ducks had most of the control. Selanne came in clutch with his game winner!
