The title says it all. The Anaheim Ducks defense gave the game away to the Columbus Blue Jackets, allowing them to win 3-2 (OT). All three goals were due to the Ducks defense being non-existent.

Teemu Selanne again had a phenomenal performance, scoring both of the Ducks goals. The Jackets never gave up and were rewarded with two points.

Selanne opened up the scoring with a tip-in from a Lubo slap shot just over 1 minute into the game. After that it was a pretty slow period. The Ducks out shot the Blue Jackets 10-6.

Columbus tied it up in the second period when Derek Brassard scored off of a rebound. Hiller stopped a shot from the point and the Ducks defense failed to clear. Selanne scored his second goal on the PP, sending a beast slap shot passed Sanford. Columbus took FIVE penalties that period, and the Ducks could only capitalize on one…..

Jeff Carter scored the only goal in the third period. The Ducks defense let him skate right on through and he was able to place his shot exactly where he wanted. Shots were tied at 9 this period.

Overtime was intense, with several back and forth chances for both teams. Koivu sent a one timer right to Selanne for the hat trick but was robbed by Curtis Sanford. The Jackets picked up the rebound and Brassard scored his second of the night to give the Jackets the victory.
