Palmieri and Cumiskey Reassigned to the Syracuse Crunch

The Anaheim Ducks have reassigned right wing Kyle Palmieri and defenseman Kyle Cumiskey to the Syracuse Crunch of the AHL.

Palmieri appeared in 1o games with the Ducks, and didn’t quite perform up to the Ducks expectations. Being one of the Ducks top prospects, he was expected to shine up in the big leagues. He scord 1 goal, and 1 assist in those 10 games. These numbers didn’t even come close to his stellar AHL numbers (21g. 10a in 23 games). Perhaps he just needs more time with the Syracuse Crunch.

Cumiskey was called up on January 9th, but didn’t appear in any NHL games. The Ducks don’t really have a purpose for him right now. He has played 29 games with the Crunch this season, scoring 2 goals, 12 assists with 18 PIM.  In 132 career NHL contests, Cumiskey has collected 9 goals with 26 assists. He could prove useful in future seasons.
