Ducks Need to Finish Strong Before the All-Star Break

The Anaheim Ducks have five remaining games before the All-Star Break in which they need to go out strong. They start off playing the Vancouver Canucks tonight who are never an easy win.

The remaining games are as follows:

Not the easiest schedule for the Ducks who need a big streak to move up a spot or two. They currently sit 14th in the Western Conference and 16 points out of a playoff spot. I’d to see the Ducks win at least 4 games and hopefully that lone loss is an OT loss.

That is some pretty high expectations considering the Coyotes, Stars and Avalanche are close to a playoff spot and they know each win counts. The Senators on the other hand are sitting at 5th in the Eastern Conference and are currently on pace for a 100 point season.

The Ducks need to go into the into the All-Star break knowing that they can turn this season around and that it’s not over. Beating these guys is big because A) it doesn’t allow them to gain any momentum on the Ducks and B) because these are the guys they face the most (Coyotes, Avs, and Stars that is).

A big showing from the Ducks top stars is a must. Hopefully Ryan Getzlaf will keep up his recent play and Ryan and Perry can continue to contribute.

We will see how this all pans out starting tonight! Lets go Ducks!!!
