Its official, the Ducks are in last place….
There really isn’t much to say here. The Ducks were dominated by the Toronto Maple Leafs for 60 minutes. Few positive moments about the game, so lets get to it….
Game Recap:
First Period- Ducks look alright, playing some decent hockey. Smith-Pelly misses about 14 times. Francois Beauchemin sends a beautiful one timer to give the Ducks the lead (ANA-1, TOR-0). Nate Guenin to the box for elbowing. Joffrey Lupul feeds Tyler Bozak a pass to tie the game up (ANA-1, TOR-1). Only 19 seconds later, the Leafs score another one, this time by Clarke MacArthur (ANA-1, TOR-2).
Second Period- Ducks unable to clear, giving the Leafs chance after chance. Joey Crabb tips in a slap shot (ANA-1, TOR-3). Ducks looking to not get completely buried and are putting a ton of shots on net. Not working.
Third Period- Bozak and Kessel have a two-on-one rush, and Bozak chips one in passed Hiller (ANA-1, TOR-4). Not a lot going on this period. Perry scores, roofing one over Gustavsson (ANA-2, TOR-4). Ducks really love this “lets score 2+ goals in only a minute” gameplay. Luke Schenn seals the win with an Empty Netter (ANA-2, TOR-5).
Theres no more excuses to be made. This team needs a change NOW!! Unless the Ducks really want to Fail for Nail, they need to fix this problem immediately.
