Preview of Game 11: Columbus Blue Jackets

facebooktwitterreddit

Well, the Ducks need a win. They need an offense explosion to lead to some consistency. There is a better time to be playing the Columbus Blue Jackets.

The Blue Jackets are coming off yet another loss last night, this time to the Chicago Blackhawks by a final of 5-2. Let’s just get this out of the way, the Blue Jackets are simply terrible. Okay, I wanna talk about the Ducks more in this preview. I’m not happy. Not. One. Bit. So, why am I unhappy? Every Ducks fan could probably guess that. The teams performance overall this season, not good.

The offense has been terrible. Just over two goals per game? About last night, only 20 shots? Yeah that’s not gonna do it. The defensive play has been inconsistent with multiple lapses per game. The goaltending has had its moments and overall has been decent. If the Ducks don’t break out tonight or even just get a win and play better, I want to see some changes. Either with line combinations or with WHO ARE ON THE LINES. Yeah, Gordon, eh, Macenauer, eh, Smith-Pelly? Send that bum to the minors or juniors what ever you want. Bring up my boy, Emerson Etem. In my opinion, he should’ve made the team out of training camp. Maybe bring up Sexy, Dan Sexton, he’s got some experience. Okay, let’s just finish this, before my head explodes.

Players to Watch:

  • CBJ – F – Rick Nash: You cannot watch a game involving the Blue Jackets without keeping an eye on Nash, its that simple.
  • CBJ – F – Vinny Prospal: He’s been a pleasant surprise for the Blue Jackets. More than their two bigger free agent acquisitions in Jeff Carter and James Wisniewski.
  • ANA – G – Jonas Hiller: He played okay last night. Weber’s goal was definitely and unstoppable shot, but you can’t leave your goalie out to dry by only getting 20 shots on goal and no goals.
  • ANA – I would put an offensive player in this spot……but………there aren’t any after last night.

Prediction:

If there can be a must win this early in this season, its this. If they lose, changes should be made……………….That’s all I got.
