Checking In On the Syracuse Crunch
By Editorial Staff
We all know our Ducks are off to a fantastic start, but how is our AHL team starting their season off?
The Crunch have only had 3 games so far this season, which they have gone 2-1.
Games:
- vs. Binghamton Senators (W 5-4)
- Vs. Adirondack Phantoms (W 6-2)
- Rochester Americans (L 2-3)
The most impressive player has been Kyle Palmieri. The 20-year-old has scored 5 goals, and 2 assists in 3 games. He was named the Reebok/AHL Player of the Week on Monday. Patrick Maroon has 2 goals and 2 assists in 3 games and Nick Bonino has 1 goal and 5 assists in 6 games.
Jeff Drouin-Deslauriers was the goaltender for both games, where he has posted a .909 save percentage and 2.93 goals against average.
The Crunch are off to a solid start and will look to make a solid post-season run.
Why do I touch up on the Syracuse Crunch every now and then? I think its important to know how your teams rookies are doing. That way we can know what to expect when we need to call someone up.
