Jason Blake Out 3 Months

Jason Blake has been diagnosed with tendon damage and will be out for up to 3 months.

Blake’s wrist was lacerated Friday midway through the third period. Blake and Sharks defenseman Brent Burns were scrambling to get the puck after a faceoff in the offensive zone. Blake’s arm was on the ground and Burns’ skate cut his tendon.

He will have to undergo surgery on Monday in Los Angeles.

The Ducks will probably put him on long term injury reserve to save salary cap, and will have to bring someone up from Syracuse. Matt Beleskey would be the obvious option, but he is still out from shoulder surgery.
