Ducks Rookies Take Down the Kings

Ducks prospects > Kings starting lineup.

The Ducks took down the Kings last night in an impressive 3-1 victory. This is their second straight win after going 0-3 in their first few pre-season games. The Kings had basically their entire starting lineup, and the Ducks had mostly prospects.

The lists speak for itself.

After a scoreless first, the Ducks rallied with 3 goals from Kyle Palmieri, Andrew Gordon and Patrick Maroon all in the second period. Jeff Deslauriers backstopped the Ducks to their victory with 32 saves. The lone goal allowed was a breakaway by Andrei Loktionov when the Ducks got caught in transition.

A great performance of what the season COULD look like. Hopefully the Ducks will continue this play when it comes to the regular season, where it matters!

The Ducks next game is on Wednesday the 28th against the Vancouver Canucks.
