Ducks Make Their First Cuts
By Editorial Staff
The Ducks announced today that they have made their first roster cuts for training camp.
Assigned to junior teams:
–Igor Brobkov (G): Kingston/OHL
–Joseph Cramarossa (C): Mississauga/OHL
–John Gibson (G): Kitchener/OHL
–Rickard Rakell (RW): Plymouth/OHL
The most surprising would be 1st round Rickard Rakell and Igor Brobkov. Although lacking in his debut pre-season game, I expected him to stay around for a little while. He is not NHL ready and probably won’t be till next season. I was impressed with Brobkov’s goaltending. He made some solid saves and I expected him to also stick around for awhile longer.
The Ducks are down to 43 players (25 forwards, 14 defensemen and 4 goaltenders) on their training camp roster.
