National TV Schedule Announced
By Editorial Staff
The NHL has released the national TV schedule for the upcoming season. This includes what will be aired on the NHL Network, Versus and NBC.
NBC:
With the new deal signed between the NHL and NBC, more games will be nationally broadcast each year. NBC will be broadcasting 23 games this season. None of those games the Ducks will be playing.
Versus:
Versus will be broadcasting 6 Ducks games.
- 10/8 NY Rangers vs. Anaheim
- 11/1 Anaheim vs. Washington
- 12/19 Anaheim vs. Dallas
- 2/14 Anaheim vs. Minnesota
- 2/26 Chicago vs. Anaheim
- 3/12 Anaheim vs. Colorado
NHL Network
The NHL Network will only be broadcasting two Ducks games.
- 11/3 Anaheim at Rangers
- 2/10 Anaheim at Detroit
CBC and TSN
- 12/17 Anaheim at Winnipeg
- 4/3 Anaheim at Vancouver
Not a ton of national broadcasting going out for the Ducks this season. It is surprising the Ducks aren’t getting more attention, considering who is on their roster. If Teemu Selanne comes back, this will be his last season ever (not to mention his future induction into the hall of fame is inevitable). There is also Hart Trophy winner Corey Perry and rising stars Bobby Ryan and Ryan Getzlaf.
That sounds like a line-up someone would WANT to show nationally
