Dan Sexton Files for Arbitration

Right Wing Dan Sexton has filed for arbitration. He was one of 23 players in the NHL that filed for arbitration.

Sexton played most of his games with the Ducks last season, scoring 4 goals and 9 assists. He also made several trips down to Syracuse, where he had 17 points in 17 games.

Sexton made $525,000 last season and become a restricted free agent on July 1st. The Ducks gave him, Nick Bonino and Patrick Maroon qualifying offers.

Sexton is a quality two-way player who has tons of speed and great puck handling skills. In a few years, he will be a reliable secondary scorer. Although I am not sure why they have gone to arbitration for him, hopefully he can stick around without costing the Ducks a ton of money.
