Free Agency Time!

Its been all quiet here for the Ducks. Murray has made no trades, nor has he said any player of interest. It was to be expected that Murray would not be making massive trades. I for one am glad to see that Murray wasn’t dropping big cash for players, which seemed to be the trend for free agency.

But the Ducks have FINALLY done something!

Day 1:

-The Ducks are trading defenseman Andy Sutton to the Oilers for veteran defenseman Kurtis Foster. Foster has been in the NHL for 6 seasons and he is going to add some solidity to the Ducks blue line.

That is the only trade the Ducks did on day one.

Day 2:

No news to report as of 3:00pm est.

-The Ducks have signed RW Andrew Gordon to a two year contract. Gordon, 25, played in nine games with the Washington Capitals last season, scoring 1 goal and 1 assist. The rest of the season was spent with the Hershey Bears, where he notched 28 goals, 29 assists and 50 PIM in 50 games.
