See What Happens When The Ducks Don’t Do What I Tell Them To?

With Koivu out (groin pull), Getzlaf at the side of his pregnant wife and another bad in-net performance by “he who shall not be named”, the Ducks fell to an aggressive Kings team 3-2.

This morning, the Ducks had apparently had enough and traded for Bolts goaltender Dan Ellis and he should be available to back up Jonas Hiller tomorrow.

Hiller has been suffering what the doctors are calling “vertigo” for nearly a month, but is reportedly on the ice taking shots as I type. As far as I know, vertigo is a symptom of either a concussion or an inner ear problem, but all the docs have said he doesn’t have a concussion, so WTF? I guess we’ll just have to see what happens.

Saku Koivu is a maybe for tomorrow. The injury was sustained during a practice, so it shouldn’t be serious.

Ryan Getzlaf should be back as his wife gave birth to Ryder James Getzlaf this morning. Cigars for everyone!

Cam Fowler has been receiving a bit of media bashing as he went into last night’s game at a -8 rating, but as a 19-year-old rookie who probably doesn’t weigh more than 195lbs soaking wet, we should be praising the fact that he has surpassed expectations and continues to grind it out.

And finally, on a silly note, George Parros filmed a ‘green’ commercial for the Honda Civic GX (a la the Old Spice guy, but with his clothes on). My favourite part is his solar powered mobile phone.
