**BOING, BOING, BOING, BOING, BOING, BOING**

(is it a little obvious I’m a teensy, tiny bit happy?)

After the tearful departure of our beloved Captain Canada, we waterfowl faithful have been perched on the edges of our collectively theoretical seats awaiting Selanne’s decision.

First, we heard from fellow Finn Saku Koivu that The Flash had been working out like a fiend ever since the season ended. Then Koivu resigned for a couple of years. Then the Ducks signed another countryman, Toni Lydman.

Then, yesterday, Teemu told the Finnish sports magazine Sports Journal that he intends to return for at least one more year and that the contract should be finalized within the next few days.

As devastated by the trading of Jiggy and Scotty’s retirement, this is absolutely the polar opposite.

My elation is indescribable, incomprehensible, unreal.

I’ll admit it.  When I read the news I screamed and started crying in relief.  We now know who will be wearing the big “C” next season.

Sorry this post is so short, but I have to now go dance around my house wearing nothing but my Ducks sweater and blasting Metal until the neighbors call the cops.
