As Tony Soprano would say, “The lowest form of conversation is ‘remember when’.”

After watching the depressing ‘exit’ interviews various Ducks players conducted the Monday after their final game, I’m not going to start poring over this season’s minutae, whining about ‘what if…?” or complaining that we didn’t make it to the playoffs.  Even if I did, it wouldn’t change anything, would it?

Explanations are, for the most part, pretty pointless.  Everyone from the coaches and the players to the professional commentators and the casual fans can analyze a team’s failures until their blue in the brisket, but talk and speculation generally don’t amount to a hill of beans.  What needs to be done?  To quote a music producer friend of mine when an artist asks him how he can improve his performance, the producer said “Just make it more better.”

Sage advice.
