Ducks Assign Matt McCue to Minors

The Ducks have added another to the list of roster cuts made in the last few days, as Matt McCue was assigned to San Antonio of the AHL on Tuesday afternoon. San Antonio is the Phoenix Coyotes’ primary affiliate, but the Ducks will be using them as one of many teams where Ducks prospects are assigned.

McCue did not record any points but was still impressive in preseason games. McCue is not known as much as a scorer as a fighter, and definitely showed he can be effective in the NHL. The Ducks have 32 players remaining on its 2009 Training Camp Roster – 18 forwards, 11 defensemen and three goalies.
